Faster workspaces, richer miniapps, and more reliable conversations
TAP 2.27.0 makes workspace switching faster, gives miniapps stronger release and workflow boundaries, and improves chat, voice, and settings reliability.
This release makes TAP feel faster and more dependable as you move between workspaces, conversations, and tools. It also strengthens miniapp publishing and workflow execution while expanding remote rooms, attachments, and specialist support.
Faster workspace switching
Workspace changes now preserve useful chat and renderer caches, reuse in-flight activation work, and warm the next route before you arrive. Background synchronization, Directory bootstrap, billing reads, and settings work are better scoped so switching spends less time repeating work.
Stronger miniapps and workflows
Miniapp Marketplace and publishing flows now report incompatible releases more clearly, expose host identity and supported capabilities, and handle unverified releases through explicit decisions. Package reconciliation is less noisy, publisher dependencies are current, and miniapp SDK foundations add shared overlays and accessible toasts.
Workflows can retry a terminal-failed run with the same inputs, initialize composed run cards lazily, adopt committed contributions on resume, and coordinate remote rooms with clearer plugin and harness boundaries.
Better chat, voice, and attachments
Remote rooms and direct messages now keep their session state more reliably, support image and plain-text attachments, and expose more useful thread and GitHub review interactions. Message actions are more focused, DM replies remain readable, and channel composers stay available while working in threads.
Voice recovery is more selective: stalled streams are isolated, healthy subscribers avoid unnecessary rejoins, publication waits for a ready connection, and removal retries when the SFU session needs time. These changes preserve active calls while making failures easier to recover from.
Settings and platform polish
Settings gains clearer member and workspace actions, more dependable Bedrock and billing recovery, and layouts that hold together in narrow panes. Desktop navigation can be reordered directly, generated files stay out of normal change lists, and analytics opt-out now follows the product setting consistently.
The release also improves local harness sessions, Git initialization and diffs, worker placement, updater release notes, build caching, and observability around workspace activation.
