Auto-titled chats and faster navigation
New chats now name themselves with a local model, and the titlebar gains back/forward buttons.
New conversations now name themselves using a local model, the titlebar gets back and forward buttons, and the New Specialist screen has been retuned end-to-end. Several chat reliability and rendering fixes round out the release.
Chat gets local auto-titles
You no longer have to rename every new chat. After your first message and again once the assistant finishes its reply, the desktop app generates a short title locally — privately, with safe prompts and no duplicate work. Conversations you’ve renamed yourself are protected, so auto-titling never overwrites a name you set.
Header history navigation
The desktop titlebar now has back and forward buttons next to the notification bell. Hopping between recently opened chats, settings, and other screens no longer requires reaching for the sidebar.
A polished New Specialist screen
The New Specialist builder picks up three rounds of UI fixes:
- The Build/Test toggle moves to the top of the chat panel so it clearly applies to the whole conversation instead of looking like a control over the message box.
- Each editor tab — Persona, Tasks & Workflows, Knowledge, Tooling, Review & Publish, Benchmarks — is capped at a comfortable width with consistent padding, so wide windows stop stretching forms edge to edge.
- Builder messages now use the same filled, card-style bubbles as the rest of the app, in both light and dark mode.
Sturdier specialist conversations
Specialist replies that finished with only tool output used to render as empty bubbles after a reload. They now stick around through reloads, history loads, and live updates. Older messages with nothing renderable show a clear fallback notice instead.
In the same area, completed inline tool runs now collapse into a single “x tool calls” row once the assistant has responded, while in-progress tool calls keep their full streaming timeline.
NVIDIA safety models stay out of chat
NVIDIA moderation and classifier models are no longer selectable as specialist chat overrides — they’re filtered out before they ever reach the provider. Streaming errors close cleanly instead of hanging, so the app recovers gracefully.
Settings closes with Escape
Press Escape inside desktop settings to return to your workspace chat — the same shortcut as the Return to App button.
Faster, more reliable desktop downloads
Desktop downloads on the marketing site are now served from faster mirrors, with stable links to the latest build on each release channel. Download buttons reorder themselves based on your platform, so the right installer is always the first one you see.
Polish & fixes
- Chat source lists no longer bleed expanded state across reordered sources when you edit or retry a message.
