Developer and Marketplace Policy
Terms for Miniapp SDK developers, miniapp distribution, marketplace review, curation, benchmarking, and SDK wind-down.
Effective July 15, 2026
1. Scope and acceptance
This Developer and Marketplace Policy applies to the Miniapp SDK, developer tools, miniapps, and The AI Platform marketplace. It supplements the Miniapp SDK license, the Acceptable Use Policy, and other agreements governing the relevant services. By accessing, installing, or using the Miniapp SDK or submitting or distributing a miniapp through our marketplace, you agree to the policies that apply to that activity.
2. Miniapp SDK availability
The Miniapp SDK is currently free to use under its license. We charge no fee for the SDK itself, and no revenue is associated with the SDK itself. It is provided as is and as available, without support, maintenance, compatibility, availability, or fitness commitments except where the SDK license expressly says otherwise. Because we do not charge for the SDK, there are no SDK fees to refund.
3. Miniapp distribution
Subject to the Miniapp SDK license and this policy, you may distribute a compliant miniapp in object-code form through The AI Platform marketplace or through other channels. An object-code miniapp may contain the SDK code mechanically included in its compiled or bundled output as permitted by the SDK license.
You may not publish, mirror, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Miniapp SDK as a standalone product, source distribution, package, download, or separately usable component. You may not imply that your outside-marketplace distribution is listed, reviewed, sponsored, certified, or endorsed by Zephyr Cloud.
4. Developer responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your miniapp, including its:
- design, development, testing, security, accessibility, documentation, support, maintenance, and compatibility;
- content, claims, outputs, user experience, data practices, permissions, integrations, and third-party services;
- compliance with law, this policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, the SDK license, and third-party rights and terms;
- notices, consents, privacy disclosures, professional review, human oversight, safeguards, and records required for high-impact or regulated use; and
- incident response, vulnerability remediation, and accurate communication with users.
High-impact and regulated miniapps are allowed at the developer's and user's own risk, subject to the safeguards and responsibilities in the Acceptable Use Policy. A marketplace listing does not represent legal, regulatory, safety, technical, medical, financial, or other professional approval.
5. Marketplace review and curation
Submission does not guarantee review, acceptance, listing, placement, ranking, promotion, continued availability, or any volume of users. Subject to applicable law, Zephyr Cloud may curate the marketplace at will and may refuse, rank, re-rank, limit, suspend, delist, or remove a miniapp at any time, with or without notice, based on safety, security, quality, relevance, user experience, compliance, business, operational, or other considerations.
We may request information, testing access, changes, attestations, or documentation, but review does not transfer responsibility to us. We do not guarantee an appeal or reinstatement process unless applicable law requires one. Where law requires notice, reasons, review, or appeal rights, we will provide them as required.
6. No endorsement or agency
A marketplace listing means only that the miniapp is available through that channel at that time. It is not an endorsement, warranty, certification, partnership, agency relationship, or representation that the miniapp is accurate, secure, lawful, suitable, or appropriate for any particular use. Developers may not state or imply otherwise.
7. Benchmarking, interoperability, and competition
Truthful public benchmarking is allowed when you identify the tested versions and configuration, disclose a reproducible methodology and material limitations, distinguish measured results from opinion, and do not manipulate or misrepresent results. You may engage in ordinary application development, lawful interoperability, independent research, criticism, security research under our Security and Responsible Disclosure Policy, and noncompetitive model development.
You may not use the SDK, non-public Services, Platform output, or access obtained through them to extract or substantially reproduce material non-public Zephyr Cloud technology in a competing miniapp platform, marketplace, runtime, SDK, or other substitute offering, or bypass technical measures intended to enforce that restriction.
8. SDK wind-down
If Zephyr Cloud winds down the public Miniapp SDK package, our intended path is stability for existing users:
- publish and retain a final archival version;
- deprecate the package through the registry with a prominent warning, migration guidance, and the last supported version;
- keep established published versions available rather than unpublishing them, except where removal is reasonably necessary for legal or security reasons;
- update the README, license materials, and public documentation with the maintenance status and successor or archive information; and
- consider transferring package ownership to a trusted successor when that better protects users and is legally and operationally appropriate.
This wind-down approach states our current policy and does not guarantee indefinite registry operation, third-party availability, maintenance, support, security fixes, compatibility, or a transfer.
9. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take actions permitted by the applicable agreements and law, including limiting SDK or marketplace access and refusing, suspending, delisting, or removing a miniapp. Developers must cooperate reasonably with security, rights, compliance, and user-protection inquiries concerning their miniapps.
10. Changes and prior versions
We may update this policy prospectively. A new version applies no earlier than its stated effective date. We will publish the current effective date and retain dated versions at the version links on this page. If an agreement requires additional notice, we will provide it as required. Continued use after an updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
